Ios6 was automatically downloaded to my ipod touch 4g, and software update wants me to "install now." i have no need for the features in ios6, want to keep google maps, and want to stick with ios5. it appears that the download of ios6 is taking up a lot of space on my ipod (the "other" bar quadrupled in size), and i just want to get rid of it.. With macos 10.14 mojave, itunes comes bundled with macos. to get the latest version of itunes, update the software on your mac: go to apple ( ) menu > system preferences, then click software update. if you can’t update to macos 10.14 mojave, you might still be able to get some updates for itunes (up to itunes 12.8).. The new version of the software can be downloaded directly from the mac app store or through the software update function in the mac app store on all compatible macs that are already running macos.
