This method worked good on all most all canon printers. i myself tried this on many printers and it have worked successfully. it successfully worked on printers in pixma category.. Also check the 4 screws that hold on the paper tray under the printer on the mg 5550 as these sometimes are loose.....
The paper cleans the paper feed roller as it feeds through the printer. repeat step 6 twice. if the problem is not resolved, turn off the printer, unplug the power plug, and then wipe the paper feed roller (a) located on the right side inside the rear tray with a moistened cotton swab or the like.. Clearing paper jams. if your pixma printer is experiencing paper jams, the first step is to lift the plastic cover on the printer. look for any jammed paper and carefully pull that paper out from the bottom.. Paper is jammed inside printer. if the jammed paper tears and you cannot remove the paper either from the paper output slot or from the rear tray, or if the jammed paper remains inside the printer, remove the paper following the instructions below.. watch the movie.
